Their complex processes include injection molding, painting, and assembly with corresponding constraints.
Asprova APS schedules the entire production cycle and reliably creates optimized schedules for dozens of machines and hundreds of molds—synchronizing SAP and the MES, analyzing the data, and providing the scheduler with visualizations and tools, giving Magna new strategies.
Magna uses Asprova to continually review production status, monitoring the production schedule against completed progress, and run additional what-if scenarios to update the schedule, moving employees and orders to where they are needed at critical times.
With Asprova, Magna reduced administrative overhead and improved cost calculations. As a result, Magna has increased the efficiency of the scheduling department by more than 50%, cleaned up master data, reduced WIP and finished goods inventory, and successfully transitioned from JIS to JIT delivery.
